Draft Regulations on Drones

Owing to growing interest and increasing request for permission to use Drones in the country for different purposes, MoIC has received government instructions to develop Regulations to govern their operation. Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority has come out with the Draft Regulations and they are seeking your feedback to make the regulations better, user-friendly and safe while also recognising the need to impose adequate restrictions as necessary.

For now, the feedback and comments may be limited to substantive aspects of the draft from the point of view of users, while leaving the editorial aspect for further review from our side. Kindly provide your feedback by 26 October 2016 to ABTO. Based on feedback received, MoIC may consider a physical meeting to discuss issues in greater detail, the following week.
